Correze Restaurant. The city’s delicious address

Correze Restaurant. The city’s delicious address

Correze restaurant has been in business since 2017.  And although established in a location that had yet to open itself towards general public, it quickly became one of the main reasons to continue walking around Gdańsk Main Town after reaching the Fish Market. Located in a brand new city quarter, at the bank of Motława river and in immediate neighbourhood of the Museum of the Second World War, Correze has become one of the most delicious addresses in the city.

The restaurant’s owners describe it as serving Mediterranean cuisine with a French twist. This doesn’t change. Anyone who would like to dive deep into the flavours straight out of the Mediterranean Sea, and anyone who enjoys spoiling themselves with traditional French flavours, should pay a visit to Correze.

Demanding guests require restaurateurs to even further strive for perfection. Correze’s guests expect top-quality service and top-quality dishes. – They want genuine cuisine with good-quality products. They are also interested in innovative flavour combinations, as well as different textures in unique arrangements – says head chef Krzysztof Gradzewicz.

There are also uncanny and surprising combinations of flavours.  Charolaise maturing beef loin steak is served with sweet chestnut and shrimps, and Red Snapper is served with wild mushrooms and shimeji mushrooms from Asia.

 – We attract guests from Gdańsk, the entire Tri-City, as well as their neighbourhood. These are people who are eager to explore new places with excellent cuisine. Such guests are a real treasure: they visit regularly, and very often make recommendations regarding culinary ideas, as well as décor, or service. We enjoy the fact that we can get to know our guests better. After all, a restaurant is a place that has to be full of life, and a place not only for consumption, but also for enjoying time together – says Piotr Sadowski.

Menu at Correze changes depending on the season. – We exchange the menu twice a year, and in case some products are unavailable, we replace them with seasonal equivalents. This allows us for at least four versions of the menu per year. What’s more, each weekend we offer a Special Menu, that includes dishes not available in the regular card. These are also very popular among our guests – says Krzysztof Gradzewicz, head chef at Correze.

Working on a new menu is no piece of cake. Current card includes, aside from all kinds of early vegetables, young duck, dairy cattle, rabbit, and eel.

What’s more, Correze is also an excellent finish point when exploring the yet unknown parts of Gdańsk Main Town. Here, you can sit down, relax, and look at the city from a completely different perspective.
